Here at Jerry Pelfrey Fireworks, we’re all about fun-filled times all year round. And while it’s no surprise that the 4th of July is our personal favorite, we still love to have a good time during the off-season. That’s why we want to share some of the best May Events to look forward to this year in Paintsville.
Spring Festival (Downtown Paintsville)
The 3rd Saturday in May is when the Spring Festival takes place each year in downtown Paintsville. The event features a parade, food, vendors, a petting zoo, inflatables, and much more!
Friday, May 5th - Saturday, May 6th
This year’s event will be hosted by the Paintsville Beautification Volunteer Committee and the City of Paintsville.
Open Mic Night (Alley on Main)
Alley on Main is hosting an Open Mic Night this month.
Friday, May 12th
Come show off your skills on stage or check out some of the hidden talent Paintsville has to offer.
Front Porch Pickin’ (Country Music Highway Museum)
Every Thursday, stop by the Country Music Highway Museum for Front Porch Pickin’. Come and enjoy an evening of live bluegrass and gospel music at Front Porch Pickin’. Admission is only $3, making this family-friendly event perfect for any age!
Every Thursday at 7:00 pm
New performers are also welcome on stage.
Paintsville Cruiz’n (Main Street)
Hosted by the East Kentucky Gearheads car club, the Paintsville Cruiz’n is a free, family-friendly gathering of hot rods. It’s held every 3rd Saturday from April to September on Main Street; rain or shine.
Saturday, May 20th
The East Kentucky Gearheads host several local events, including a first Friday cruise, a January “snowball” cruise, and winter swap meet.
